Totally haven't blogged in like a bazillion years..... There's been way too much going on of late. INTERNING, LONDON FASHION WEEK, PARIS FASHION WEEK, PARTIES, LOLZ, NO TIME TO THINK JUST WORK WORK WORK, FUN FUN FUN...
LFW was good, not much to say really, same old same old, except for going to the Alexander Wang for LOVE party at Liberty and the AnOther magazine party at the Box which were both totally amazing. But, oh my golly gosh.....Paris just BLEW MY MIND. So fucking good. So chic. So glam. Properly serious fashion, I LOVED every minute of it!!!! We swooped in for the weekend and saw.....
Maison Martin Margeila
Beautiful simple tones, lots of layering and hidden textures underneath different pieces. Love the shades of black and gray. Super sexy black leather gloves and some fierce statement silver jewellery, yum.
Vivienne Westwood
Glitz and Glam. Such an exciting show. Tribal prints, warrior style make-up, gorgeous flowing locks, loads of glitter, frills and ruffles, layers and textures. A mad vibrant energy in the room and with all the models dancing their way down the catwalk, so fun, so free, so Vivienne!
Viktor & Rolf
Super FIERCE. The V&R "army" pounded their way down the catwalk displaying some seriously sharp shapes. I loved that each outfit came out first in black and then in white, so simple yet so effective. Such a strong use of pleating, such well put together garments, the red face paint (which sent poor Lindsey Wixson home early) so strong, so powerful, so so SO GOOD.
Jean Paul Gaultier
There are literally no words to describe how amazing JPG was!!! It was AMAZE times a bazillion. It was seriously one of the most wonderful, exciting things I have been lucky enough to experience. So beautiful, so chic, so elegant, so Parisian!! Loved the models walking down the catwalk in gorgeous furs, oversized scarves and coats in muted shades of camel, black and gray only to start 'stripping' off the layers to reveal such vibrant and brightly coloured african/aztec patterned inspired silk jumpsuits underneath. Two outfits in one. So exciting. Ahhhhhh AMAZING, it just left you wanting so much more.
So all this plus the most amazing weather, being with amazing people, meeting some amazing new ones and having fun fun Parisian hang times, eating the best food, meeting Jean Charles De Castelbajac and having a sneak peak of the collection before it hit the runway and going home with a gorgeous new jacket ..... Pretty good weekend all round, I'd say x
